The Raiders Already Have a Clear Vision for Fernando Mendoza
One of the more interesting rookie quarterback situations coming out of minicamp is Fernando Mendoza with the Raiders. The reports were less about flashy throws and more about the transition into Klint Kubiak’s offense, which honestly matters more long term anyway. Mendoza operated almost entirely out of the shotgun in college, so right now a lot of the focus is on footwork, timing, and learning how to consistently play under center in a West Coast style offense. That may not sound exciting, but it is a massive adjustment for young quarterbacks and it tells you what kind of offense Vegas wants to run.
