Klein had a fantastic play to conclude the team period focused on short yardage.
Quarterback Graham Mertz sold an expert play fake and turned to find Klein running wide open. After an easy toss, Klein turned the corner and was off to the races for what would’ve been a score on a fourth-and-one play at midfield.

Bond made an excellent catch on the sideline. Graham Mertz sailed a pass high, and Bond lept up to grab it. He came down in bounds, through contact, to secure the pass. Bond seems effortless at times on crossing routes. He told Landry Locker and me that he watched a ton of film of Wes Welker and Julian Edelman when he played for Bill O’Brien at Boston College. Bond has a ways to go to be those two legends, but he flashes enough that I am excited to see if he can continuously get open in a preseason game. Bond will want the last play of the day back. He let a pass squirt through his hands, which found Tremon Smith’s hands for an interception.
