With Sampson on injured reserve, Jaleel McLaughlin was signed to the active roster to take his place, while Eric Gray was added to the
practice squad. Judkins' snap rate slightly increased this week. He played slightly less in normal early-down situations but played more often on third downs. While Judkins dominated running back touches, Cleveland’s run game has remained completely ineffective. Judkins ran 12 times for 21 yards. The good news is that Judkins was targeted more often when he was on the field in passing situations. He caught five passes for 27 yards, tying his career high for receptions.
Tracy started this game, and New York generally used a rotation by drive. Tracy played all of the first and third series, while Harris played nearly all of the second and all of the fourth. Harris went back in for the fifth drive, with Tracy coming in for one play. Tracy suffered a neck injury, so Harris returned to the game. Eric Gray closed out the half. Later in the game, Tracy was cleared from concussion protocol and was able to return to the sideline, suggesting he is likely fine. It wouldn’t be surprising if Tracy drops to fourth on the depth chart, even if he’s healthy. Harris was signed with the understanding he would have a significant role.
