Dart delivered his cleanest practice of camp, completing 16 of 19 passes during team periods while showing better composure, confidence and

decisiveness against pressure. Only three of his passes hit the ground, and the offense committed just one pre-snap penalty after previously struggling with sloppiness and execution. During the final drive-the-field period, Dart made a strong read against pressure coming from his blind side and found Devin Singletary for approximately eight yards to move the chains. He later connected with Dante Miller across the middle for a touchdown and finished the session with an underneath completion to Darius Slayton near the goal line. Dart’s back-shoulder throw to Isaiah Likely was another standout play, giving Likely a chance to win a contested catch over Deonte Banks along the right sideline.

Now 28, Singletary took a pay cut to stay with the Giants, improving his chances of emerging as a contributor from jump. What will be interesting to see is how much Singletary gets to prove his worth behind Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy, and whether his style in a Greg Roman-designed power run game creates a lane for "Motor" to get more touches. I think it will, and Harbaugh has shown he is unafraid to go to different backs in a committee prior to Derrick Henry's arrival in Baltimore. The fact that the Giants have not made a move in the backfield for another veteran could be another good sign for Singletary. Undrafted rookie Damon Bankston and Turbo Miller will be the younger guys pushing for roles on the practice squad initially save for a monster preseason that would potentially change the complexion of the depth chart behind Skattebo, Tracy and Singletary.
