More on QB4, who saw limited action with the third-team offense.
Cole Payton made a ballsy attempt over the middle to a contested Quez Watkins, who made the grab in 7-on-7. On the final play of practice, Payton completed a downfield pass to Britain Covey, who was able to find the end zone after the catch. Good to see that Payton doesn’t look scared to pull the trigger, as can be the case with some rookie quarterbacks. Payton is slowly but surely building the case for the Eagles to keep him as a developmental option.

For the purposes of this story, let’s assume the Birds just get draft capital in return for Brown. Barring a bidding war, most insiders believe that will be the case. If so, the depth chart becomes easy: 1) DeVonta Smith, 2) Makai Lemon, 3) Dontayvion Wicks, 4) Hollywood Brown, 5) Darius Cooper, 6) Johnny Wilson, 7) Elijah Moore, 8) Britain Covey, 9) Danny Gray, 10) Quez Watkins.
