Rome Odunze has responded well since his drop on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles, catching nine of his last 12 targets (75%
catch rate) for 138 yards. Randel-El commented on his performance during today’s media availability. “He’s been intentional about making sure he’s where he needs to be in terms of running routes, and he’s been working on that since the offseason. It’s been really good from a standpoint of getting to the spot smoothly and not telegraphing to the DB what I’m running.”

“I put it on myself as much as anything, just making sure that all these guys are getting the touches that they deserve,” said coach Ben Johnson. “Tried to get it in [Odunze’s] hands a little bit earlier in the game and you can feel him come alive a little bit. But I felt that from Rome. I felt that from Luther, felt that from Colston to a degree as well. [Odunze] knows he’s a big-time playmaker and we’ve just got to make sure we give him opportunities.”
