One of the biggest takeaways from Seattle's first training camp practice was how comfortable Sam Darnold looked running the offense.
He showed good command by making quick decisions and consistently putting the ball where his playmakers could keep moving instead of forcing them to slow down. One highlight came on a swing pass to Jadarian Price, where Darnold led the rookie perfectly with a firm throw out in front, allowing him to catch the ball in stride and immediately turn upfield for an explosive gain. While the spotlight was on the running backs, Darnold's timing and ball placement helped make those plays possible and reflected the type of efficient quarterback play the Seahawks are hoping to build around.

He's also making a strong impression as a receiver. During OTAs and minicamp, Price reportedly looked comfortable catching passes, something that wasn't a major part of his college workload. Coaches have also emphasized getting running backs more involved in the passing game, giving Price another avenue to produce. Even if Zach Charbonnet returns early in the season, Price has the talent to carve out a significant role and could develop into one of the offense's most dynamic playmakers.
