As far as the standout veteran from Sunday’s practice, he came from the other side of the football.
That was 30-year-old wide receiver David Sills V, who is off to a great start in camp thus far. He had three touchdowns Sunday morning, with one coming on a crosser over the middle of the field that led to a long catch and run and the other two coming in the red zone period. He has proven to have a strong connection already with backup quarterback Jake Browning, and with Tampa Bay’s top receivers unlikely to see much time in exhibition play – if any – Sills could be a big factor.

Johnson did not get off to the fastest start in camp, dropping two passes on the first day before redeeming himself late in practice by catching a deep pass from Jake Browning on Thursday. Browning himself has had an impressive few days, teaming up with Johnson and developing strong chemistry. That was highlighted on Thursday, when “Tezmania” took over and hauled in three touchdown catches and had his first backflip of the 2026 season. Johnson has an uphill climb to establish himself in the pecking order, but he continues creating separation, making it increasingly difficult to ignore his emergence as a legitimate deep threat.
