Steele stood out to me today.
He saw a bigger workload than normal with both Mitchell and Pierce leaving practice early. He first caught my attention with a really strong blitz pickup where he sacrificed his body to neutralize the oncoming defender. As a ball-carrier, Steele runs with a physicality that reminds me of Jordan Howard, who wasn’t explosive but had a good knack for getting was blocked for him and regularly falling forward (as opposed to taking losses). Steele also made some catches, including a short grab for a touchdown.
