Thomas turned in one of the highlight plays of practice with an incredible helmet catch that had the entire offense celebrating.
While battling defensive back DJ Ivey, the ball popped loose as both players hit the ground, but Thomas managed to pin it against the back of Ivey's helmet to complete the reception. It was one of the most impressive catches of camp so far and immediately caught the attention of teammates. Ja'Marr Chase was especially complimentary afterward, comparing Thomas to Tee Higgins because of his ability to go up and win contested catches. Coaches and teammates are looking for another receiver who can consistently high point the football, and Thomas showed exactly that skill during this practice.

Young will immediately push into the WR4 conversation with the idea that he could compete for Iosivas’ role as the rotation progresses. His former Georgia teammate, Thomas, brings an enticing skill set but will likely need to latch onto the practice squad. Tag: @Andrei Iosivas
