Week 3 was a coming-out party for rookie TE Kenyon Sadiq, who torched the Lions to the tune of 105 receiving yards and a touchdown on seven
catches. It was the kind of performance Jets fans envisioned Sadiq having when he was drafted 16th overall in April. Now, they might need him to do it all over again against the Bears. No Hall, Mitchell, Taylor, Cooper, Smith or Patrick means the Jets will heavily rely on Sadiq (and Garrett Wilson) as quarterback Geno Smith's main targets. Most of the passing game will likely be funneled through the dynamic duo, and it'll be up to the rookie TE to open up the middle of the field.

Smith has done most of his work from inside the pocket too, which has made life easier for his offensive line. Only 9.8 percent of his pass attempts have been from outside the pocket, fourth-fewest among QBs with at least 50 pass attempts. ... Smith also has the second-lowest off-target percentage (3.9, behind Brock Purdy), and he’s thriving in areas he’s struggled in previously, namely against pressure (70 percent completions on 27 attempts) and when blitzed (79 percent). ... Even more impressive: Smith has the sixth-highest aggressiveness percentage, per NextGen Stats, which measures attempts into tight windows over all passing attempts. That stat is even more impressive when you consider his overall completion rate, which is 12.9 percentage points over expected, the highest mark in the league, per NextGen. ... Against the Lions in Week 3, he did something only two other Jets quarterbacks have done: throw for over 300 yards, three touchdowns, zero interceptions while completing more than 80 percent of his passes.
