Likely played over 70% of snaps for the second time this season.
Likely scored 27. 8 PPR points in Week 1, but that play wasn’t sustainable in his role. He had a 67. 6% route participation rate but mustered 34. 8% targets per route. His fantasy value came back to earth over the following three weeks, with an average of 8. 4 points per game. Luckily, his route participation rate had improved, but he didn't score as many touchdowns. His playing time in different personnel groupings also fluctuated. In Week 3, he played 75% of 11 personnel snaps on early downs, but last week, that fell below 50%. He similarly played 88. 5% of 12 personnel snaps in Week 3, but that dropped to 62. 5% last week. This week, he played 62. 2% of early-down snaps out of 11 personnel snaps, which was right at his season average. The good news is Likely was on the field more consistently in 12 personnel. He played in 39 of a possible 40 snaps out of 12 personnel. Typically, when a team plays a full five quarters, we’ll see players rotating out more frequently, so the fact that Likely played more was great to see for his fantasy value. Likely caught 11 passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns. While we shouldn’t expect him to consistently score this many touchdowns, it remains safe to keep Likely in fantasy starting lineups.
