A sharp red-zone rep gave Isaiah Neyor one of the offense’s few touchdowns against the starting defense.
Neyor ran a skinny post over the middle, snatched Tyrod Taylor’s accurately placed throw out of the air and secured the score for the second unit. It was a clean finish in an area where the offense had struggled throughout practice.

Neyor produced an impressive catch that did not count before making a legitimate play with the starting offense. He fully extended for a diving throw from Tyrod Taylor and maintained possession through the ground, but the pass led him too far toward the boundary and he landed out of bounds. Neyor later received first-team work and caught a well-placed touch pass from Jordan Love between the corner and safety. He reached out and plucked the ball cleanly from the air. His earlier one-on-one against Jaylin Simpson ended poorly when Simpson intercepted an underthrown pass after locating and high-pointing it; the throw was described as terrible, and it was unclear whether Neyor had a realistic opportunity to prevent the turnover.
