At least for a few weeks, as Jackson is out this week and he could very well be out next week too, and Snoop Huntley, when it comes to
pushing the ball downfield, has almost nothing in common with Jackson’s intent and acumen. Flowers has been in motion 27% of the time this season. He won’t be latching on to deep balls. Putting him in motion before he catches a bubble screen seems to be something they should lean into. Making the defense at least wonder about a jet sweep or end around can’t hurt. Flowers has been particularly devastating in the slot this season, where he’s been for 60% of his reps, nearly doubling his career average.

Injury: Flowers logged three limited practices and is questionable with a foot injury. Expected Time Missed: Day to day. Flowers is expected to play through a foot injury, though he remains questionable after three limited practices. Practicing all week is encouraging, but the continued limitations suggest this deserves attention. As mentioned with McConkey, our dataset of 30 wide receivers shows an average 46% decline in fantasy points in the first game back after foot injuries. I’m less concerned about Flowers than McConkey because he has been able to practice, but that does not eliminate the possibility of reduced effectiveness. Flowers relies on quick plants and sharp changes of direction, which foot pain can make slower and less explosive. Working in his favor is a massive 30.1% target share. That volume helps support his fantasy floor even if his efficiency takes a hit. If active, Flowers remains a must-start for me, though the foot injury and Lamar Jackson’s absence could cap his upside this week.
