Tillman seems to be on the wrong side of the roster bubble at this still-early stage, but he also was busy collecting targets and
receptions earlier this week. On Wednesday, Tillman was not practicing due to an undisclosed injury. If he doesn’t play Saturday, look for Gage Larvadain, Luke Floriea and Malachi Corley to all potentially move up a spot in the current wide receiver rotation.

Watson worked primarily with the second-team offense and produced several quality throws, beginning with a deep corner completion to Wilson. He also attacked vertically to Cedric Tillman, found Wilson on a backside over route off play action and delivered an accurate option-route pass that Brenden Bates dropped. Watson connected with Malachi Corley on multiple hitches, located Gage Larvadain during scramble drill and completed quick throws to Tylan Wallace during the two-minute period. He finished his red-zone work with a touchdown to Wallace on a quick slant. Watson’s mobility added another element to the offense through zone-read and quarterback-counter concepts. His running ability also gives Todd Monken the option to incorporate read-bluff designs and some of the quarterback-run ideas he previously used with Lamar Jackson. The practice was not completely clean. Watson was late on a dig intended for Bates, missed Luke Floriea on a deep out and took a sack from Isaiah McGuire during the two-minute period. His unit also committed a false start. Watson delivered a solid overall performance, but Sanders was the more consistent passer during the earlier competitive periods.
