“I was pleased,” Jaguars Head Coach Liam Coen said Monday of Strange’s performance against the Bengals.
“We definitely felt like with some of their injuries at the safety position, specifically, that we felt Brenton could take advantage of some of those matchups and made some really good plays and caught the ball strong, made some people miss.” “He can block in the run game, in the pass game, all that stuff,” Lawrence said. “Then, obviously you see what he can do with the ball in his hands. He’s a matchup. [Sunday] obviously was the most he has been involved this season, but that’s our offense.” e.”
Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange also received a slight boost in snaps, playing a season-high 86.9% of snaps. Similar to Thomas and Tuten, this was likely related to the Jaguars' increased usage of 11 personnel. Strange had his best game of the season with seven receptions for 95 yards, but most tight ends have big games against the Bengals' defense.
