Worthy has already consistently been the Chiefs' most-used wide receiver by snap count (now at 80% of the offensive reps through four
games), and the Chiefs' coaching staff has the benefit of an extra week to review Worthy's strengths and weaknesses while retooling the receiver room. For better or for worse, Worthy is even more important to the Chiefs now than he was before the season began.
Worthy was always on track to have a large role in this offense, but I do think the Thornton injury is the official end of any possibility that Worthy will be phased into a significantly smaller role. However the Chiefs try to utilize him now, Worthy will need to have his best year yet for the Chiefs' offense to remain as explosive as it's been through the first four weeks.
