Burks began his college football career at Purdue but transferred to Oklahoma after a standout season in 2023. He has experience playing both outside and in the slot. During his first two years at Purdue, he primarily played in the slot, but he moved to the outside during his breakout year in 2023, accumulating over 600 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. At Oklahoma, he played in the slot during his first year but was significantly more productive on the outside in 2025, where he recorded over 600 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns.

What stands out most about his game are his quick feet off the line and his keen ability to find vulnerable openings against zone coverage. While he can run good routes against man coverage, he struggles significantly with gaining separation at the snap against contact. Nevertheless, he is a true nuisance in space, reacting quickly and working back toward the ball.

In the NFL, he should play in the slot, where he will face more favorable matchups and have more room to operate. He needs to improve his hand counters before he can play outside for any significant amount of time. The good news is that he is route-savvy and athletic enough to evade man coverage if there is no contact at the snap.

He is not a chain mover or a starter-caliber player at the professional level. However, he has done enough to warrant late Day Three draft capital as a developmental depth piece. The Senior Bowl and the Scouting Combine will provide excellent opportunities for him to improve his stock by showcasing his athleticism. As a fantasy asset, he is not worth considering outside of a post-rookie draft pick. - Zareh Kantzabedian
